|Description:||The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is seeking a strong leader with proven relationship-building and communication skills to serve as its Member Services Director.|
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is a nonprofit with the goal of strengthening the foundations of community. |Duties:||The Member Services Director will be responsible for the overall direction and supervision of the Membership Department, where the focus will be on member sales, growth, and retention. The chosen professional will work closely with Wellness and other departments to help take our membership to the next level through innovative ideas; family programming; communication of the Y mission; and developing and maintaining positive relationships with members, staff, volunteers and community leaders. Responsibilities include creating programming; hiring, training, scheduling and supervising staff; and building community partnerships. |
|Qualifications:||• Sales experience is necessary, preferably in the fitness center industry (profit or nonprofit)|
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Y membership and program experience desired
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, as well as financial, computer, and interpersonal skills required
• Proven problem solving abilities and time management skills are necessary
• A minimum of three years experience coaching and managing staff required
• Applicants must be able to work a varied schedule with some evening and weekend work
