|Description:||The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is seeking a highly motivated and dependable team player to provide leadership and direction to our growing sports programs and summer sports camps.|

|Duties:||The Director of Sports will create and implement our sports programming, including but not limited to flag football, soccer, cheerleading, tee-ball, basketball and summer sports camps. Duties will include recruitment, supervision and development of part-time staff and volunteers; oversight and maintenance of athletic facilities, and close collaboration with other departments to provide excellent programs and service to members. The Director will work frequent afternoon and evening hours year-round, and weekends during sports seasons, and will report to the Senior Program Director. |
|Qualifications:||• A college degree in a related field is strongly preferred|
• Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of experience in sports programming (running and organizing sports leagues), and knowledge of all sports rules and requirements
• Prior supervisory experience is necessary
• Interpersonal skills, multitasking ability and computer proficiency are essential to this role
