Accounting Coordinator

Description:The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking a mission-driven, organized and personable professional to provide administrative services to the branch.

Duties:The Coordinator will be responsible for processing program registrations, to include creating registration packets, managing payments, responding to member inquiries, tracking and providing reports. The Coordinator will also provide support to Child Care and Program Director, including maintaining child care files, processing Department of Social Services’ payments and tracking enrollment; manage human resources for the branch including payroll, maintaining staff files and assisting with training of new staff; and provide accounting support for the branch including deposits, coding transactions on branch credit card, and assisting branch staff with use of the SGA (accounting) system. Other duties will include assisting the Executive Director with Board of Management meetings, managing supply inventory, being the branch liaison to outside vendors, providing leadership to the branch and performing general administrative tasks.
Qualifications:• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
• Candidates must possess a minimum of three years experience in administrative services, with at least one year of accounting experience
• Candidates should have strong computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Important qualities for this position include attention to detail, excellent communication skills and organizational abilities
• Experience with Daxko is preferred
