|Duties:||This position will be responsible for ensuring excellence in the execution of all school-age childcare and camp programs through quality program development and enhancement. Specific responsibilities include planning engaging, educational youth development activities; staff development (hiring, training, mentoring); prepare and oversee annual departmental budget; building relationships among staff, parents, and the community; expanding family programming; marketing programs; and continuing to grow participation.|
|Qualifications:||A college degree in a related field is preferred. Candidates must possess a minimum of one year experience in child care and one year experience in a management/supervisory role in a child care or camp program. Must meet minimum Commonwealth of Virginia DSS' minimum requirements for Childcare Directors. Candidates should have the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children and families; excellent communication and organizational skills; and high energy, initiative, and creativity.|
